Korea Trip - Seoul and Busan 2012 Day 3

Korea is 1hr ahead of us, we wake up very late the next day at 10 plus 8)  After their favourite bubble baths we are taking a train to the fish market for our most expensive meal of the trip.

Rayen sleep a lot during the trip as the weather is cooling during our stay.  I am very confuse with Korea Subway,  I am lucky that Daren know his way.

The market is not near to the station, need to ask around for direction.  Nice place with lot of hawkers selling all kinds of sea product.  Justen is amaze to see different kind of sea creatures on display.  We saw the indoor market and walk in without thinking we might be going to the wrong one.

We bought a fish, 3 abalones, some scallops, a hairy crab, sea urchin, octopus for 84kw.  They are brought to the 2nd level and we have to pay the cook for making the dishes for us.  They speak no english or chinese, I am manage to transfer my message correctly to them with lot of sign and body language.  Rayen sleep while we are eating our lunch.  Justen tried the moving octopus, the sashimi fish is crispy, sashimi abalone is rubbery, sea urchin taste ok...  I requested the shop owner to make me a soup with all the live creature...  A good experience but is not very yummy.  Total spending in the shop with drink was around 25kw.

Nice shop owner give Rayen a pack of seaweed to go with her rice and fish.  She eating them without complain...  Stired fried abalone is more tasty.

After the lunch we walk to the harbour and saw another look alike indoor market... Think that is the more favourite one.  Saw a lot of shop selling bbq eel, I don't really like the smell.

Justen saw Lotte, he told is Lotte world, so requested us to visit the mall.  Goods are expensive in the mall, but we love their supermart.  Bought yummy strawberries, fresh cloudy apple juice and 15 bottles of yakult (less than SGD3)...

There is a water show in the mall every 1 hr... Great show for the kids while mommy do some quick shopping.

Left the mall and saw Etude house near subway station, Rayen got a make over while I am ding my marketing.  She is extremely happy with their service.  Sales girl is from China, very nice and patience, got some samples and gift after shopping.

Proceed to the next station, I can't really remember street name, nice food along their street market.  Yummy chicken satay and bun.

Last stop to a bridge, is not near to the station, need to walk about 20min to the beach, Rayen fallen asleep while Justen building sand castle.  While we enjoying the cooling air and watching fire works.  We decided to follow the crowd and look for an auntie who is selling it.  We are lucky we found her, Bought 2 for 7kw, Justen had a great time shooting the fire into the air while Rayen and me watching.

Is about 9pm, we need to look for a place for dinner.  Tried their Fried Chicken, ordering it is a problem, but we manage to do it again.  1 portion with 2 favour, very yummy but the portion is really too big for us.

Reaching hotel really late, Kids are allow to sleep without showering... Is ok lah weather is cold so they don't really sweat a lot 8)

Korea Trip - Seoul and Busan 2012 Day 1 and 2

I booked the air tickets a year before during a promotion.  Rather happy that time as the price is around S$1.6k for 4 pax...
Finalised on Hotel and booking half year ago.

Read up on blog trying to know more about Korea so that can start planning our Itinerary.  Is not easy to remember street names and location.

We finalised with 2 nite in Busan, 5 nites in Shinchon and 2 nites in Ming Dong.

Kids are very happy, we are waiting too long for our holiday too.
Daddy is down with throat infection, kids coughing not a good start actually.
We took a nite flight from KL at 11 plus, reached Korea at 6 plus in the morning.  We took a train from Airport to Seoul Station to catch the direct train at 9.30am.

Is a long weekend for Korean, so all seat are taken, we manage to board the bullet train (SGD270 for tickets of 4) and found 3 seats at the resting area.  Reached Busan around 12 noon. Planned to book the coming back seat but again all taken 8(  We proceed to take a subway to our hotel but realise is not link to Busan Station.  A short walk for about 5 mins.

Facing problem buying our 1st ticket at subway station.  Help by their ticketing attendances.  Helpful old uncle help on our luggage and show us the right way.

We reach our hotel - Riviera Hotel (SGD 370 x 2 nights) with about 5 mins of walking.  Weather is warm with cooling wind 8)
We took a short rest and proceed to look for our 1st meal in Busan.  Justen wanted to have herbal chicken for lunch so we choose a restaurant near our hotel.  Shop aunties are very nice, although we have language barrier but she tried her best to teach us the correct way of taking the soup.  Even the guest who know a bit of English help us to translate.  Really a good and nice start.  Lunch is about 25kwon.
After lunch we proceed to our 1st plan, 海云台水族馆.  I start to have a real headache so after the kids spend around 1hr at the aquarium we planned to go back to Hotel to take a short nap.

After the nap we start to hunt for our dinner.  We aiming for BBQ, and we found a really crowded restaurant but their service is fast and friendly 8)  Dinner is about 40kwon.
The nite is rather cooling, need a jacket in order not to catch a cold.  Tried their red not so spicy 年糕and soupy fish cake.  Not our liking...  Bought bread, milk, fruits and tidbits for kids and their breakfast.
We are back to hotel at 12mn... Is ok lah is Holiday, so we can sleep late and wake up later 8)
